 SHERIFF RONALD D. CROCKETT
 

Lancaster County Sheriff Ronald D. CrockettRonald D. Crockett is the Sheriff of Lancaster County.  He was first elected in November of 1983 and is currently in his seventh term.

Sheriff Crockett is a native of Lancaster County and resides in Irvington. He attended Richard Bland College in Petersburg where he majored in business then went to work for the Virginia State Police from 1971-1976. During this period he was stationed in Fairfax County from 1972-1973 then stationed in New Kent County from 1973-1976. Sheriff Crockett resigned from the Virginia State Police in 1976 to return home and work for his family's seafood business. He would not return to law enforcement until seven years later.
