The Bicycle Patrol is a new addition to the sheriff's Patrol Division. The team is composed of two deputies that patrol needed areas where an automobile is not always feasible. In addition to saving gas, a bicycle patrol places the deputy in a more face-to-face environment than a car normally would.

These bicycles come equipped with all the necessities a deputy would need (i.e., headlight, siren, all-terrain tires, water bottles, and a bicycle pouch).  In cases where the deputies need to perform bike patrol in another part of the county, the bicycles can be quickly attached to bike racks placed strategically on the trunk of the patrol car.

Look for the Bike Patrol at events such as parades, football games and similar activities!
